The life of the church is one of breathing in and breathing out. A brilliant theologian named Jurgen Moltmann describes it this way: “Gathering and sending are related to one another like breathing in and breathing out. The important thing is therefore to view life in the everyday world as just as important as the gathering of the congregation in the feast of worship.”
To be the church is to live in the rhythm of gathering together and then being sent out. We believe that church is not a place we go to, but a people we gather together, always with an awareness that we are to be sent out again.
In this early season of the church, our main gathering is in NW Austin. We meet in the home of the Chandler family Sunday evenings from 5-8pm at 11726 Running Fox Trail. This is an open gathering and anyone is welcome to join us.
Our time together includes a community time of directed study, dialogue, and prayer along with a shared meal. If you are coming for the first time, we’d appreciate it if you would contact us so we can make sure we have enough food.
We value families sharing life in a church community together, so children are welcome too. They are part of our gathering, but activities are available for younger children in an adjacent room during our time of study and dialogue.
